Electronic services unit

The electronic services unit at Aswan faculty of Arts has been established to activate the services of information technology and reach to the beneficiaries of students, teaching staff, and employees. It’s a focal point between the six projects of ICTP at the level of universities and the faculty. The unit aims at providing distinct services in information technology to the faculty by increasing the efficiency of the six projects of ICTP which are:

  1. Management information system (MIS).
  2. Digital library.
  3. E-learning.
  4. Electronic portal.

The unit’s goals:

The electronic services unit works on using information technology to support and develop education, research, social and administrative activities and provide distinct electronic services to the faculty staff in order to achieve the following goals:

  • Improve the efficiency of the faculty’s infrastructure and upgrade it.
  • Contacting between teaching staff and students throughout the official university Email.
  • Transform percent of the academic programs into electronic programs.
  • Legitimate using operation and programming systems.
  • Protect computers from viruses.
  • Using electronic transactions instead of papers by raising the faculty staff’ awareness of using information technology.

 

Electronic services provided by the unit:

  1. For teaching staff and association authority:
  • Create a university e-mail for each member.
  • Create an account for each member to access the digital library.
  • Activate using E-learning academic curriculums.
  • Training on using information technology.
  1. For students:
  • Create a university e-mail for each student.
  • Publish the academic schedules, exams’ schedules and results, and seats list on the electronic site of the faculty.
  • Activate using E-learning academic curriculums.
  • Training on using information technology.
  • Publish the faculty’s and students’ news.
  1. For employees:
  • Create a university e-mail for each employee.
  • Training on using information technology.
  • Technical support services.
