Prof.Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed-Aswan University President today, Thursday, checked the conclusion of events of the book fair at Aswan University accompanied by Dr. Ayman Othman, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Najwi Ahmed Sayed-General Director of the Aswan Branch of Culture, which is held in the Faculty of Agriculture at the campus in Sahari.
Prof. Ahmed Ghallab added that the fair witnessed in its last day unexpectable demand from students at the various faculties and the academic staff and their associates, students, and the university employees as well as great demand from the external audience to buy books in various science while the book fair of this year characterizes with the variety of publishing houses that reach to 20 publishing houses, the book fair includes 150 titles among literary, cultural, and medical as well as in various science of culture, arts, and literature.
Prof. Ahmed Ghallab explained the prices of books were available for everyone and appropriate for all age groups, it’s worth mention that Dr. Enas Abdel-Dayem, Minister of Culture, Major General Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan, Dr. Ahmed Ghallab, President of the University, and Dr. Ahmed Awad, President of the General Authority for Cultural Palaces have witnessed the inauguration of the book fair activities that were launched from December 24 to December 31, 2020, and included more than three thousand books in various sciences.
Dr.Ayman Osman indicated the importance of holding the book fair at Aswan University that is represented the lighthouse of culture and supporter of sustainable development under announcing Aswan Governor is a Capital of Culture, Economy, and Arabic and African Youth; as well as it’s considered a great chance to acquire books, reading, and providing the difficulty of searching for books and bearing the suffering of travel.
