Today, on Sunday, Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed- Aswan University President honored Mr. Hussein Abdel Latif-General Secretary of the University and the Head of the Central Administration of University Hospitals in the attendance of Dr. Ayman Othman-Vice University President for Postgraduate Studies& Research Affairs, Dr.Majdy Mohamed Ali- Vice University President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr.Ashraf Ma’bad- Excutive Manager of Aswan University Hospitals in Aswan, Dr. Essam Abu Al-Majed, Dr. Mohamed Salah, deans of the faculties, an elite of university employees, and general directors.
Dr. Ahmed Ghallab- Aswan University President stressed during his speech on the national projects that Aswan University and the University Hospitals in Aswan are witnessing and the volume of works that are in full swing at Aswan University in the Sahary campus on an area of 400 acres, including the new administrative building, Aswan University Sports Stadium, a group of multi-purpose sports stadiums and Olympic swimming pool and beach ball courts, as well as development of science laboratories, new garages, maintenance workshops for university cars, summer and winter theater, infrastructure works, redrawing and planning of the internal roads in the campus in Sahary.

In advancing development in West Aswan, which is in full swing at the university branch in New Aswan, which includes 9 buildings on an area of 98.5 acres, which includes the buildings of the Faculty of Arts. Rights . House of Science, Nursing. Medicine . Tourism and Hotels . College of Languages and Translation . Archeology, trade.
Dr. Ahmed Ghallab added that the university medical facilities and specialized medical centers at the university in New Aswan, which are being implemented, represent a transfer of the quality of the medical and health system in southern Upper Egypt. Among them is the recently opened Central Care Unit, which includes 10 beds to serve patients in Aswan.
Dr. Ahmed Ghallab referred to the role of the Secretary General of the University in these constructions and the role of all employees through institutional work that includes the development of the University Hospital in Aswan by adding about 300 beds by adding many operating rooms, intensive care and other medical services. 85% of the Al Batinah Hospital construction project has been implemented. Al Batinah Hospital consists of 5 floors. The hospital includes 150 beds distributed in general and private internal medicine departments, brain, nerves, heart, tumors, thoracic, dermatological and physiotherapy.
As well as the project to establish a reception and emergency hospital, which consists of a basement of 4 floors. A central restaurant, dining halls, sterilization rooms, central laundries, and housing for doctors. And the development of the orthopedic, internal and urology departments. Another 150 beds will be located in the surgical, trauma emergency, intensive care, radiology and laboratory departments.
As well as works to end the current expansion projects. Which included the new department for dialysis with a capacity of 56 machines, covering the provision of curative service to patients during the current period.
At the end of the ceremony, the university president, Dr. Ahmed Ghallab, presented the university shield to the Secretary-General in appreciation of his efforts during his work at the university and his dedication to his job duties. The attendees took memorial photos at the end of the ceremony.
