Aswan University signs a cooperation protocol to support the investment projects with Upper Egypt Development Authority

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohammed-President of Aswan University stated that the university represents the house of expertise and the locomotive of development, through the diversity of the specialties of the university’s various faculties and units represented by specialized centers, the center of engineering consulting and the university faculties, in order to achieve partnership with the projects of the Upper Egypt Development Authority and works to provide technical support, consultation and scientific expertise in all fields supervised by The Aswan University.

In this context, today, on Wednesday, Prof. Ahmed Ghallab signed a cooperation protocol with Major General Sami Al-Shanawi– Chairman of the Upper Egypt Development Authority, in the attendance of Dr. Sabri Salaheddine, advisor to the Head of the Upper Development Authority for Development and Strategic Projects headed by the Council of Ministers.

He added that he aims to cooperate jointly and constructively between the Authority and Aswan University in various fields (development, socio-economic, industrial, agricultural, scientific, cultural) and others to ensure carrying out tangible positive results that benefit the society of Upper Egypt and opening job opportunities for its people.

For his part, Major General Sami Al-Shanawi, Chairman of the Upper Development Authority, said that the Authority seeks to strengthen the means of cooperation with the various state agencies to overcome all obstacles to investment in the governorates of Upper Egypt and to develop the resources of what each governorate owns and accelerate development projects in accordance with law No. (157) for the year (2018) in establishing the Authority and determining its competences, which we sign today because development in Upper Egypt is the investment of tomorrow.

Mr. Wael Abu Taleb– media spokesman for the Upper Egypt Development Authority, explained that the protocol aims to provide Aswan University  with all information and experiments in the fields and activities carried out by the Authority in Aswan province through the center of engineering consultancy at the university, as well as developing and exploiting university farms to serve the environment and society sector and increase the added value of it.

As well as the activities carried out by the University, including the Bakery Unit of the Faculty of Agriculture in order to manufacture the good food  available in The Province of Aswan and invest the energies of young people through the holding of general and specialized training courses for students and develop their skills to meet the needs of the labor market and open job opportunities for graduates of Aswan University trained and qualified for the labor market and prepare detailed studies on desert areas in Aswan province and develop an agricultural map to achieve wealth in agricultural and animal production as well as industrial and mining areas to invest them to benefit us and become Egypt.
