Aswan University is the 1st in Egypt and the 95th internationally

In a unique achievement that is the first of its kind, Aswan University achieves the best ranking of the Egyptian Universities ever seen in the British Times Classifications for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals ( The Impact Rankings 2021). Aswan University came in the 95th ranking among the best (100) universities worldwide and the best Egyptian University, with a difference of more than 100 places from the second-best Egyptian Universities.

Earlier in the day, the British Times Classification for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals ( The Impact Rankings 2021) was announced, and Aswan University ranked as the following:

1-The 95th position worldwide.

2-The 1st position on the level of the Egyptian Universities.

3-The 8th position in terms of the Zero Hunger index (SDG2).

4-The position (201-300) in terms of Good Health and Well-Being index (SDG3).

5-The position (101-200) in terms of Quality Education index(SDG4).

6-The position (201-300) Gender Equality ( SDG5).

7-The position (101-200)in terms of Reduced Inequalities (SDG10).

8-The position (31) in terms of the Local Sustainable Cities and Communities index (SDG11).

9-The position (101-200) in terms of the Climate Action index (SDG13).

10-The position (33) in terms of Partnerships for the Goals index (SDG17).

Prof. Mohammed Abdul Aziz Muhalal Orabi-Director of the International Classification Office congratulated all  Aswan University affiliates and stated that this unique achievement is the result of intertwining the efforts of everyone in the university, and the continuous support from the university’s higher administration for raising and progressing of our ancient university.
