Digital library unit seeks to become a center of excellence which technically and administrative supervising on developing the whole traditional and electronic information services of the library at the higher education institutions in a collaborative way to achieve complementary in the activities and researches of university libraries union ,the unit seeks to provide all the services of the union throughout a united search portal in accordance with the requirements of working in digital environment in the twenty-first century.
Goals:
Achieving sharing resources among the authorities administrating libraries’ services and information at the higher education throughout the activities and researches of university libraries union in Egypt leading to rationalization of expenditures and maximize the use of the available resources, and helping in meet the needs of research and educational institutions which participate in cooperative program by providing infrastructure and resources and services that forms the cognitive structure of community leading to improve the efficiency of the educational process and scientific research in the higher education institutions in Egypt.
