Dr. Ayman Mahmoud Othman– Acting of Aswan university president, stated that in light of the frequented successes of our prestigious university on several levels, especially the international rankings; Aswan University administration was pleased with the appearance of Aswan University scientists among the list of the best 2% of scientists around the world.
And this comes according to the latest issuing of the 3rd version Oct. 2021 that was launched by Elsevier in cooperation with Stanford University which is considered the hugest of its kind at all for the database that includes the list of the best 2% around the world in 22 main scientific fields and 176 branch specializations
Dr. Ayman Othman-Acting of Aswan university president added that the list, in its recent update, included 5 scientists from Aswan University among the top 2% of scientists around the world in their specialization, namely: Dr. Mohamed Naguib Rashid, Faculty of Science, Environmental Sciences, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Rashad, Faculty of Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Transportation, and Dr.Muhammad Abdelaziz Muhalal Orabi, Faculty of Engineering, the field of electrical and electronic engineering, Dr. Mohamed Fathi Al-Amin, Faculty of Science, mechanical and transportation engineering, and Dr. Salah Mohamed Kamel, Faculty of Engineering, energy field.
Dr. Muhammad Abdulaziz Muhalal Orabi– Director of the International Classification Office at the university, pointed out that the importance of this study lies its depending on the SCOPUS database and analyzed it by using algorithms and measurements to reach accurate and reliable results that include citations, h_index, _hm index and other criteria.
