prof/ Ahmed Ghalab Mohamed, the president of Aswan university declared the readiness of the university to receive 25 thousand students in the new academic year 2018/2019.
Ghalab reaffirmed in statements to Alahram Almasaei paper that the academic year will witness huge changes in the favor of the educational process, where 6 faculties( law_Dar eloulum_commerce_Alsun _Medicin_and three departments of the faculty of arts ) have been moved to the university’s new headquarters in the new Aswan city.
Anew system will be applied in the faculty of medicine that will shorten the study duration to five years in addition to two years residency after that. All advanced labs, halls, and the morgue of the faculty of medicine were prepared, and thus the students’ suffering in transporting to the faculties complix at the high dam entrance which included the faculties of medicine, veterinary medicine, and nursing.
the university president revealed that study in the faculty of dentistry will start in the academic year 2019/2019 after finishing the required preparations.Ghalab stated that only two faculties remain to get the approval, then the number of the faculties of the university will be completed. saying that Aswan university became the first destination of the foreign students ,and a thousand students will be received from different Arabic countries to study in the faculties of::::medicine,energy engineering,science,agriculture, and the Institute of African and Nile state researches and studies,in addition to other humanities faculties ,which indicates the students trust in the academic content and the scientific excellence of the university.
He added that the social message of the university isn’t just granting academic grades to students ,but it extends to participating in social improvement and revival, indicating that students from neighboring countries have their positive effect on the position of Aswan city in tourism and economy, thanks to the kindness and generosity of Aswan people and their good reception of guests.
regarding the problem of students transporting from Aswan city to the university’s new headquarters in new Aswan city,Ghalab reaffirm that the university will present a solution by assigning a number of buses and minibusses between the city and the headquarters, in addition to the service buses which will be refreshed after the moving of the regions bus station to new Aswan city, which will permanently end the problem faced the students last year.
He added that Aswan university will be ready to held collecting activities and conferences in the second half of the new academic year at three highly equipped halls.
At the end of his statements Ghalab indicates Aswan university will participate in the best universities competition through three files which are:( the new building of faculty of agriculture new building _ university’s dormitory in sahary_and landscape,the new headquarters in new Aswan city ,in addition to the playgrounds complix at the faculty of engineering at Abuelrish which will be ready to receive the students sporting activities from all over the Egyptian universities.
