Prof. Ahmad Ghallab President of Aswan University declared that within the framework of activating the university’s plane of students’ activities in the light of confronting the second wave of the emerging coronavirus with applying all precautionary and protective measures; today all events of the sports festival of Egyptian universities have been concluded under the slogan (Sports Excellence Festival) for the academic year 2020/2021 during the period from 6th to 14th August 2020.
Prof. Ahmed Ghallab added that the festival has been held under the leadership of Dr. Khaled Abd-Al Ghafar- Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Ahraf Sobhay- Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Hatem Yosry Youseef –General Manger of Youth Care in Aswan University – and Mr. Ahmed Taky Qasm – Manager of the Sports Activity Administration.
The events of the sports festival have included a several of sports games as the quintet football- volleyball-basketball-darts-Kayak and entertainment games;as well as 432 students have participated from 19 faculties and institutes of Aswan University , in the conclusion of festival medals and financial rewards have been distributed for the winners with the first three positions with the overall 156 winners.
